The CHIO´s beginnings

He is the Cliara´s founder, Craig Hershoff. Inventor and long-time scleral lens wearer, also CHIO´s creator.

In 2000, he was diagnosed with Fuch’s dystrophy and almost lost his sight. He received three corneal transplants in 10 years.

His personal story led him to transform a difficult and traumatic experience into something positive, which would allow him to help other people who had some visual limitations, to insert and remove his contact lenses in an easier way and without needing the support of another person.

That's where the CHIO story begins. CHIO was made by lens wearers for lens wearers, this is our big difference, because we understand how difficult could result insert/remove your RGP or scleral lens.
